New life for old stuff

I am coming to the end of a bunch of things I was working on. Time to get a few new/old projects in queue.

Grandma’s Pillow

When Mom was moving, she found this pillow in her cedar chest. Her Mom embroidered it and never finished it. It is over 50 years old! I just love it. I bought a pillow form for it, but then noticed that the opening is probably not big enough to fit it through. We’ll see. It is time to finish this up.

We’ll see how long THIS takes me.

This is an old cotton navy coat. I love the weight, fit, and warmth. It is sadly a frayed rag. Boro embroidery to the rescue! I have my Shashiko needle and thread, a book of stitches, and lots of complementary fabric scraps. Let the patching begin!

And this is what?

I was doing a bit of amigurumi, and needed safety eyes. Finally bought a package. This will be a rather large squishy candy corn when done. I SHOULD have finished by Fall…

On other fronts, 4 more squares left to knit on my blanket, and then I have to plot out and knit the border. Nothing else done. The weather has been perfect for being outside, and so that has won.

The Pigeon River Middle Falls, or one of the reasons I haven’t gotten that far on my projects this week.
