On my Needles in March
The Chameleon Progress report, brought to you live from a very warm Spring in the upper midwest. I have made progress on two items. My Ao Shell, which now looks like a rectangle. Oh so exciting! I have started on the second half. I knit up a shop sample for work. The yarn is Yearling from Juniper Moon Farm, and the pattern is the Yearling Cardigan. The little bits to the right are ears, which I will add after blocking. There is one sad thing here. I had adjusted my tension to knit my Ao, and I forgot to adjust it back for the cardigan. It is a bit uneven,…

Happy Birthday to Me!
My Birthday was 2 weeks ago. Since we got my gifts by mail, and we don’t like shipping charges, they took their time getting here. I love it when my birthday lasts more than one day. But what did I get?! I am very happy to first find this book, and now to own it. I have just done the quick clip through, but I do believe it is exactly what I wanted. He has done the hard work of figuring out many of the “how in the heck do you do that” conundrums. Now all I have to do is knit! He also validated my choice of how to…

On my needles
I seem to be like many knitters, who have a handful of projects all in process at the same time. I like to keep a mix of projects. Some are patterns in development, some are test knitting, and some are the very appealing work of others. I am working on a super not-so secret design for a double-knit scarf. I have fallen in love with double knitting, and this design has me very jazzed. I have made it past the half way point and am on the home stretch. When I started this sock, it was just supposed to be a simple, mindless, fill-in-the-gaps sock to keep me…

Diamond on my Shoulders is published!
Yay! I am getting a lot of positive feedback. Even though it is nothing fancy, the design is pleasing. It is simple knitting, repetitive, and the pattern can be memorized. All good things.

Diamonds in Progress
Work in progress. It is coming together faster than I had thought, which of course makes me happy. I am hoping for testing next week.

Construction: X-P
Remodeling. Takes. Time. Then comes moving back into the space. Then comes finding all the lost stuff. DX. I am looking forward to Fall when all things stabilize *crossed fingers*.

Website update day
F-f-f-finally got around to adding a portfolio page to my website. It is not complete, but oh so much better! I have 3 of my patterns posted. The others are going through updates and revisions. It f-f-f-feels real good to get this done. My website is starting to look real! Check it out!

An evenings good labor
I am pleased to get all these done tonight. 5 sets of 10 simple markers, and 6 sets of ssk/k2tog markers. On the second item, I made the beads, and managed to print them 2 sided. Next up will be drafting a few new designs. That which is in my head is having a wee bit of difficulty making it intact onto my computer. I will persevere.

The Valentine's Day edition
Another doodle has produced a fun charm. A wee coffee cup with a heart to warm your knitting. Enjoy!

Doodles
I was doodling and came up with a fun tree. I drew it up in Illustrator, and added a Christmas flair. They made great gifts this year. I will be refining them, and doodling more, to come up with a greater variety of images. I am very pleased with how these turned out! Shrink film is not a very forgiving medium, thus the warp on the large one. I have come up with ways to work around this, though. I have even managed 2-sided printing. We will see if I can get these up to my standards for commercial use.
